All about our office dog Nessa

Hi! I'm Nessa and I'm indispensable at the Shampoo Bars office. My job at the office is to make everyone happy and help them relax! I love cookies and I'll stare at you until I get one.

Taking me for walks keeps the Shampoo Bars team active, which is very good for them 🐶🐾

Facts about Nessa:

• Nessa comes to the office almost daily and has already won everyone's heart!
• Nessa is about 8 years old and was found as a stray dog on the streets of Romania. Lyan, one of the founders of Shampoo Bars, adopted Nessa.
• She has 6 toes on one of her paws
• Her name in the shelter was 'Vanessa'
• Nessa is never walked on a leash; she always happily walks alongside you
• She is very smart but refuses to do 'tricks' on command
• She goes crazy when she hears the word 'cookie'
• She loves walking in the forest
• She can 'really' smile

Nessa was found as a stray dog on the streets in Romania. She came to the Netherlands through a foundation for a second chance when she was about six months old. Lyan, one of the founders of Shampoo Bars, occasionally volunteered there with her mother and met Nessa. Nessa was very afraid of everyone, and Lyan was the only one allowed to pet her and get her out of her enclosure. So, of course, she had to adopt her 🥰 Lyan and Nessa instantly became best friends, and Nessa slowly started to gain more trust. It still took a few years for her to truly trust other people again. Now she's getting better with 'strangers,' but you really have to prove yourself before she fully trusts you. Nessa comes to the office almost daily and has already won everyone's heart. There's always a (filled) cookie jar for Nessa at the office, and she gets a cookie from almost everyone daily. Did you forget to give her a cookie? Nessa certainly didn't; she'll stare at you until she gets one 👀

A Shampoo Bar for dogs?

Yes, we have those too! The mild and gently foaming Shampoo Bar for dogs is Nessa’s favorite! Nessa doesn't mind a nice bath! She loves running in the forest and sometimes rolls in the strangest things, so yes, she needs a bath now and then. You don't have to wash your dog very often, of course; they keep themselves very clean.
