Sustainable holidays with Shampoo Bars

We've had some exceptional months. Never before have we spent so much time at home. Home was: work environment, school, private environment, our social life (or what was left of it). Everything was… home, and home was everything. And for some, it was easier than for others; some enjoyed it more than others. We certainly didn't sit still, because the online world became more important than ever before! And so, the Shampoo Bars office and warehouse became our temporary second home. We rotated days with our employees, kept our distance, washed our hands vigorously, did our best with the stalled transport process, and optimized all kinds of work processes with the new 1.5-meter distance rule. This special time was also a period for us to optimize and think about the future: where we are and where we want to go together with you. In fact, it offered the opportunity to look further: and despite all the bumps, that was a nice bonus. Wherever we've been recently, I think we all have one thing in common: sometimes you just need to get away!

The ideal travel companion

Shampoo Bars makes this 'getting away' even easier because our bars are ideal for travel. Staycation in your own country or still by plane? Large suitcase, small suitcase, bag, or duffel bag? Your favorite Shampoo Bars can simply come along. This way, you take your sustainable lifestyle with you to your destination. Read below why Shampoo Bars products are suitable for travel.

Travel Tin: Handy and Compact
A Shampoo Bar is compact and sturdy, taking up little space. Store it in a Shampoo Bar Tin and take it with you. Make sure to always let your Bars dry thoroughly before putting them in the tin, so you can continue to get the most out of your Bar.

Tip: place two ice cream sticks on your tin or put two hair elastics around your tin, and you'll have a good drying dish from your tin in no time. If you have a little more space in your toiletry bag, the round Bamboo Soap Dish is also easy to take along.

No liquid
Nothing is more annoying than unpacking your belongings and finding a dripping toiletry bag from your suitcase. Because our Bars have a solid form, you are forever rid of leaking bottles! No hassle at customs with liquids, and therefore also convenient for a few days away in your hand luggage.

Sustainable travel tips

The fact is that we often produce more waste when on holiday and deal with it differently. We all know the distressing photos of heavily polluted tourist beaches. That is completely unnecessary, and of course, you want to take this into account even when on holiday. A shower experience that is as sustainable as possible fits perfectly with this and can be achieved with Shampoo Bars!

Sustainable tooth brushing and storage
With the Bamboo Toothbrush and the handy Bamboo Travel Case, you are already free from all sorts of plastic products in your toiletry bag. Clean your Travel Case occasionally with warm soapy water and let it dry thoroughly. This way, you'll continue to get the most out of it. If the case becomes a bit stiff, grease the edges with a little olive oil. The Shampoo Bar pouch is super handy for carrying a handful of bamboo cotton buds, in addition to using a Shampoo Bar.

Reusable cotton pads
An ideal solution for holidays and good for 16 days of plastic-free facial cleansing. The Reusable Cotton Pads. You can use the pouch to carry some extra items. Away for more than 16 days? How wonderful! You can put the dirty pads with your dirty laundry and simply wash them with a (white) camping wash.

Small washes!
Oops, not enough clothes packed or a nasty stain? Did you know that you can use a Shampoo or Body Bar to wash your clothes? That saves you from bringing another tube or bottle of laundry detergent!

Tips for a sustainable holiday
