How to use a Conditioner Bar?
What is a Conditioner Bar?
A Conditioner Bar is essentially the same as a Shampoo Bar, but in the form of a conditioner. So, a Conditioner Bar is a conditioner in solid form, which means no plastic bottles are involved.
With one Conditioner Bar, you save approximately 3 plastic conditioner bottles. Additionally, they are made only from ingredients that provide extra nourishment and care for your hair, making it softer and reducing frizz.
How do you use a Conditioner Bar?
Using the Conditioner Bar is almost the same as using a Shampoo Bar. Make sure your hands are wet and hold the Conditioner Bar under the warm tap for a moment. The warmth will soften the Conditioner Bar. Rub the bar through the ends of your hair and let it sit for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse the conditioner thoroughly and enjoy your soft and shiny hair!
Facts and myths about the Conditioner Bar
Do we actually need conditioner?
We often use conditioner because we use many harsh products to clean our hair, which depletes its nourishment. With conditioner, we add nourishment back to the hair. Shampoo Bars are made with nourishing oils, so it's often not necessary to use a conditioner in addition to a Shampoo Bar. Is your hair very dry, frizzy, and/or damaged? Then your hair might need extra care, and you can provide this extra nourishment and care with our Conditioner Bars.
What does a conditioner do for your hair?
Our Conditioner Bar nourishes dry hair. It makes your hair slightly greasy, which will reduce frizz. We regularly receive feedback that our Conditioner Bars don't lather. If there's one thing a conditioner shouldn't do, it's lather. Lather is often caused by a degreaser, which is precisely what we don't want in a conditioner.
The ease of use of our Conditioner Bar
However, the ease of use of the Conditioner Bar is not optimal. We are aware of this. But then it comes down to the choice between ease of use or plastic-free, and for us, that choice is quickly made. We strive for completely plastic-free showering and bathing, and the Conditioner Bar fits perfectly into this. We are developing and working on a softer Conditioner Bar that improves ease of use.
Tips for using a Conditioner Bar
Let the Conditioner Bar soak in a bowl of water
Because a conditioner doesn't lather, it's a bit harder to get off the bar than you might be used to with Shampoo Bars. A handy tip is to always leave the Conditioner Bar in a bowl with a shallow layer of water. This gives the bar time to soak, and as soon as you shower, the conditioner will come off the bar more easily.
Use the Conditioner Bar together with a nourishing Shampoo Bar
Do you often suffer from dry and/or frizzy hair? Then a good tip is to use a nourishing Shampoo Bar in addition to the Conditioner Bar. Our most nourishing Shampoo Bar is the Honey Shampoo Bar.
